If you are submitting a paper application, use the IMM 5484 Checklist.
If you are using the online application, a personalized document checklist will be created.
If there are documents from the checklist that you cannot provide, submit a Waiver Form together with your application
Application Form
Completed application form online.
Passport
Valid for at least 3 months beyond the expiration date of the requested travel dates, at least 2 blank pages.
Immigration Officers require it to have at least 6 months’ validity.
Passport Copy
Submit a clear scan of the data page and signature page.
Proof of Funds
Bank certification (original), bank books, personal bank statements showing regular income, credit card statements or balance covering the last 6 months.
Proof of ties in the Philippines
Proof of social security contributions, copy of real estate property (title deed), and proof of family ties in the Philippines (e.g., birth certificate of children or marriage certificate), which should be issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

The Biometrics is valid for 10 years, so you won't need to pay for it if you'll be applying again within 10 years.
Step-by-Step Guide on How to Apply for a Canada Visa
Create an account
Create your IRCC Account (Old Portal) or IRCC Account - New Portal
Complete the online application form
Fill in the application form. Make sure that you have your passport with you while completing the form.
Gather Documents
Gather the required documents based on the outcome of your online form. Each applicant will get a different set of documents based on their online form.
Upload documents
Upload the required documents in the portal. Please ensure you check the file size limit before uploading (2 MB in the old portal and 5 MB in the new portal).
Pay the fees
You will need to pay the visa fee and biometrics fee online.
Set Appointment
After payment, you will receive the Biometric Information Letter. You can now set an appointment at the nearest visa application center for biometric submission. The letter typically arrives within 24-48 hours after payment.
Attend Appointment
Proceed as instructed with the biometrics. Make sure to complete the consent form.
Results
Wait for the results.
You'll receive an email for passport collection.
