The Embassy of Japan has recently adviced applicants to apply at least 2 months prior to their trip to Japan due to increase in applications.

DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENTS

The list is obtained from the Embassy Website.

• Passport

  Signed passport with at least 2 blank pages
  Immigration Officers require it to have at least 6 months validity

• PSA Birth and Marriage Certificate (married applicants)

  make sure that the certificate is issued within 1 year

• If applicant will shoulder all/part of the travel expenses

  • Bank Certificate with 6 months average daily balance. If the bank certificate does not have an ADB, bank statements within the last 6 months must be submitted.
    Income Tax Return. Signed BIR Form 2303 for employees. For business owners, actual payment of the tax must be submitted together with the ITR.

   This fee can be paid on your appointment date.

4. Attend your appointment date

   Be at the application center at least 15 minutes before your appointment. Make sure to have all your documents ready. Your biometric data (fingerprints and photo) will be taken at the center.

5. Results

   Wait for the results.
   You will receive an email update when a decision has been made. Alternatively, you can track your application via the VFS tracker
