When to Apply for Japan Visa?

The Embassy of Japan has recently adviced applicants to apply at least 2 months prior to their trip to Japan due to increase in applications.

Passport
Signed passport with at least 2 blank pages
Immigration Officers require it to have at least 6 months validityPSA Birth and Marriage Certificate (married applicants)
make sure that the certificate is issued within 1 year
If applicant will shoulder all/part of the travel expenses
Bank Certificate with 6 months average daily balance. If the bank certificate does not have an ADB, bank statements within the last 6 months must be submitted.
Income Tax Return. Signed BIR Form 2303 for employees. For business owners, actual payment of the tax must be submitted together with the ITR.

Be at the application center at least 15 minutes before your appointment. Make sure to have all your documents ready. Your biometric data (fingerprints and photo) will be taken at the center.
