DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENTS

The list below is obtained from BLS Spain

  1. Long Brown Envelope

    labeled with the applicant’s surname, name, contact number, and email address written in bold letters on the upper left corner using a marker

  2. Application Form

    Original and Photocopy of completed form with attached passport-sized photo

  3. Cover Letter

    A written letter that includes the following details:

    • Travel dates to Spain

    • Explain the purpose of travel

    • Names of companions travelling with

    • Day to day itinerary

  4. Proof of Personal Economic Means

    • Original Bank Certificate

    • Original Bank Statement covering the last 6 months


    If employed:

    • Original certificate of employment

    • Original authorization for leave of absence

    • Original and Photocopy of the recent individual Income Tax Return (ITR)


    If self-employed/business owner:

    • Copy of the business registration, issued by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)/Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) registration of business

    • Copy of the business financial statement, covering at least 6 months

    • Copy of the recent individual Income Tax Return (ITR)

  5. Two-Way Airline Ticket Reservation

    The embassy recommends not to purchase the flight ticket before obtaining the visa.

  6. Travel Health Insurance

    The travel health insurance MUST meet all of the following conditions:

    • Minimum coverage of 30,000 Euros

    • Must be recognized in all Schengen States

    • Valid period of the insurance coverage must be for the duration of the intended stay

  7. Proof of Accommodation

    Confirmed Hotel Reservations for the entire stay in the Schengen area

  8. Identity/Marital Status

    If you are single, a photocopy of your PSA-issued Birth Certificate

    If you are married, a photocopy of your PSA-issued Birth Certificate and Marriage Certificate

  9. Passport and Previous 2 Passports

    • signed passport, valid for at least 3 months after the departure from the Schengen area.

    The Philippine immigration authorities require that our passports be valid for a least 6 months for international travel.

    • must contain at least 2 empty pages to affix the visa

    • Photocopy of Bio page, previous visas and immigration stamps from the current and 2 old passports

  10. Proof of Ties in the Philippines

    • Proof of social security contributions, if applicable.

    • Copy of real estate property – title deeds, if applicable.

    • Proof of family ties in the Philippines (e.g., original birth certificate of children or original marriage certificate). These certificates should be issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)

  11. Proof of Current Occupation

    For employees:

    • Original certificate of employment, not older than 1 month prior to the date of the application, specifying the date of recruitment and position in the company.

    • Original recent employment letter, with an original stamp and signature from the HR department of the company or from the employer, addressed to the Embassy of Greece in Manila, confirming the leave approval and specifying the dates of vacation and destination.

    • Copy of the recent individual Income Tax Return (ITR)


    For self-employed/business owners:

    • Copy of the business registration, issued by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)/Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) registration of business

    • Copy of the business financial statement, covering at least 6 months

    • Copy of the recent individual Income Tax Return (ITR)


    For students:

    • Proof of enrollment at the school/ college/ university

    • In case the student/ pupil has the intention to travel during the academic/ school year, a recent original letter from school/ college/ university addressed to the Embassy of Greece in Manila with original signature and stamp authorizing his/her absence.

  12. Proof of Travel Arrangements

    • Detailed day-to-day itinerary for the entire stay

    • Return travel ticket reservation

CONSULAR FEES

Visa Fee as of Sept. 30, 2024 (may vary depending on the current exchange rate).
  • 12 years old and above (90 EUR) - 5490 PHP
  • Children between 6-12 years - 2750 PHP
  • Children under 6 years old - free of charge
  • Spouse of EU citizens - free of charge
Applicants applying at the Spanish visa application Center shall be levied a service charge of PHP 1030 payable in cash. Children under 6 are exempted from service charge.

Step-by-Step Guide on How to Apply for a Schengen Visa in the Spanish Embassy in the Philippines

  1. Gather Documents

    Complete the Application Form and gather all the documents stated in the checklist. Make sure to complete and sign the Declaration Form as well.

  2. Set Appointment

    Create an account and schedule an appointment at BLS Spain Global website, the official visa application partner of the Spanish Embassy in the Philippines.

    We recommend to set your appointment at least 3 weeks from your travel date.

  3. Attend Appointment

    Submit your documents and have your biometric taken on your appointment date. Make sure to be at the application center at least 15 minutes before your schedule.

  4. Results
